My name is Shiquera and I am a Loctician / Protective style specialist. I specialize in Locs and Twists and also provide other haircare services.

I am located in Portsmouth, VA.

Consultations

My role as a stylist is to provide you with the best service and experience possible.

Most services will require a visual consultation!

Consultations are Free and can be done via Video, Pics, Face Time or in person.

For services where maintenance is involved or to see if a particular service can be done, there may be a $10 consult fee if I have to physically go through your hair.

Deposits

Deposits must be paid immediately when booking your appointment or it'll automatically be canceled to free up space for another client.

Deposit amounts are:

$25

$50 for Starter Loc or any service involving extensions.

Deposits are non-refundable but will be deducted from your balance.

If you reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment will have to pay another deposit when booking.

Deposits can be paid via Cash, Cash App, Apple Pay, or Square Pay (credit or debit)

New Deposit policy as of May, 1 2023

for small and micro loc services only

for All small and micro starter loc services, deposits will be 50% of your service cost.

these deposits will be due immediately when booking and are non-refundable.

if you need to reschedule, your deposit will transfer over to your new date. however, if you cancel your appointment, you will lose your deposit.

Starter micro locs

Micro Starter Locs (Sister Loc Inspired)

Micro locs are similar to SisterLocs but started by my two-strand twist method interlocked at the root. MicroLocs can take anywhere between 16-24 hours depending on hair type (density, thickness, and length) Micro-Loc appointments will be split into two days.

$700 Mid (up to 12 inches)

$900 X-Long (up to 16 inches)

Starter Locs

Starter Locs are started by my two-strand rope lock twist method.

All starter locs will be interlocked at the root to allow your hair to permanently Loc.

Traditional re twist

SKeep your locs going strong with a traditional Re-Twist session. I will moisturize, incorporate new growth, and retwist any strays.

Re-Tighten w/Interloc Method

Re-tie/re tighten with interlock method

Re-Tighten w/Interloc Method (Non-Traditional Re-Twist) Keep your locs going strong and looking fresh with an Interloc Re-Tighten session. I will moisturize, incorporate new growth, and interloc at the roots any stray hairs.

loc styling- add on service

Loc styles can be added to any service. Loc styles include pin ups, buns, rodding your locs to make beautiful curls, barrel twists, two strands etc...

$25 (5-15 mins) for basic

$35 (15-30 mins) for intermediate

$45 (30-45 mins) for Complex styles

Loc Repair-Loc Smithing-Loc Reconstruction=

you do not have to cut off your locs!! Allow me to Re attach locs that have broken off or locs that are hanging by strands. I will also make any weak locs strong again. Loc Smithing= I will use my locking & crochet tool incorporating palm rolling and snip to make individual Locs smooth, more uniform & as neat as possible!

This service is for locs that have not locked as of yet and you want the convenience of having your locs instantly locked without the wait! you will be able to wash, dye etc.. immediately after this service.

if you are over 30 minutes late there will be a $25 late fee and/or your appointment may be canceled or rescheduled

I work out of my home so Please come with your hair washed and free of any product! i do not have a salon style sink!

This is all my work, however, the Pictures are for reference only! The results of your hair will depend on your OWN hair length, texture, density & thickness
